The governments of Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay agreed work on the design of a radar installation plan, monitoring and control of common borders to enhance the fight against drugs, the newspaper El Patagonia, Argentina. 
The consensus emerged after a meeting in Montevideo by the ministers of Justice, Security and Human Rights of Argentina, Julio Alak, the Government of Bolivia, Alfredo Rada, and the interior of Paraguay, Rafael Filizzola. Alak stressed the importance of improving joint strategies to tackle crime and delinquency, are considered "transnational phenomena." added that require countries to deepen the exchange of information, strengthen bases data and agree on criteria for prevention and prosecution of crimes on a regional scale.
